VIDEO: Harden, LeBron simultaneously try, fail to draw foul
Sunday's thrilling marquee matchup between the Houston Rockets and Cleveland Cavaliers lived up to its billing, both as a showdown of elite interconference squads and of prospective MVPs in James Harden and LeBron James.
On top of combining for 70 points, the two did their best to get under each other's skins. Harden got the best of James midway through the game, getting in a solid kick to the groin, though he earned a deserved flagrant foul for it.
But in a hotly contested overtime, the referees decided to step back and let the two superstars settle things themselves. With the pair hooked together by the arm, in semblance of a square-dancing routine, both angling for a call, the whistles were swallowed.
The result was one of the most mystifying play-ons you'll ever see.
