Clippers sign Jordan Hamilton to another 10-day contract
The Los Angeles Clippers signed swingman Jordan Hamilton to a second 10-day contract Friday.
Hamilton has seen sparse time over four games with the Clippers, averaging 11.5 minutes, but started the team's last two contests. He scored a season-high 10 points in a win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday.
The 24-year-old averaged 18.1 points, 7.6 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 27 games for the Reno Bighorns of the NBA Development League prior to his callup from the Clippers.
Hamilton, the No. 26 overall pick in the 2006 draft, has also played for the Denver Nuggets and Houston Rockets over parts of four seasons in the NBA.
The move makes sense given the injuries facing Los Angeles' wing players. Jamal Crawford and Matt Barnes are dealing with leg issues and aren't expected to play in the team's next contest Sunday, while sharpshooter J.J. Redick has been plagued by an ongoing knee issue.
