Clippers' Griffin to remain out at least another 2 games
The Los Angeles Clippers are going to have to wait a little longer for power forward Blake Griffin's return to the lineup.
Griffin has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Golden State Warriors and will also be absent for the team's following contest Monday against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
There was optimism earlier in the week that he could be ready to rejoin the team for the tough assignment against the Western Conference leaders, but he appears to be getting close either way.
The five-time All-Star has missed the team's last 11 games since undergoing elbow surgery for a staph infection. Los Angeles has gone 7-4 without Griffin, the team's leading scorer.
Griffin is averaging 22.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and a career-high 5.1 assists in 51 games.
