Cuban: Mavericks 'still in the loop' to sign McGee

The Dallas Mavericks aren't giving up hope they'll one day employ JaVale McGee.
Team owner Mark Cuban said the club's "still in the loop" to sign McGee, a free agent after he was waived by the Philadelphia 76ers, to a minimum contract.
After a deal with the Boston Celtics fell through, the Mavericks were one of four teams reported to be interested in McGee, along with the Houston Rockets, Miami Heat and Toronto Raptors.
McGee has played sparingly this season, but big bodies are hard to come by, so he'll end up with a contender. The Mavericks don't have much playing time to offer, though, as Tyson Chandler is firmly in place as the team's No. 1 center.
