Breathe a sigh of relief, Hawks fans.
Back-up power forward Mike Scott will only miss two-to-four weeks due to an acute toe sprain, reports Jeff Zillgitt of USA Today. That puts him on schedule to most likely return before the playoffs.
Last week, it was reported that Scott had a broken toe and his timetable to return was uncertain.
Scott has missed the Hawks' past four contests, during which time Atlanta managed a record of 3-1.
Although Scott's averages of 7.5 points and 2.7 rebounds don't jump off the page, the third-year forward remains a key piece for the Hawks' thin frontcourt. During his absence, the Hawks have been pressed to give playing time to fringe rotation players like Mike Muscala and Elton Brand.
