Westbrook 'just a little confused' in latest incident with media
The Oklahoma City Thunder's surge up the Western Conference standings in the face of devastating injuries could only mask Russell Westbrook's contentious relationship with the OKC media for so long.
When the Thunder's four-game winning streak was snapped with a 39-point loss to the San Antonio Spurs, Westbrook's irritability re-emerged.
This seems to be a damned-if-you-do, damned-if-you-don't situation for the team's beat reporters, as Westbrook surely would have had something combative to say if a media member criticized the team's sliding defense during its winning streak.
For what it's worth, the Thunder boast the league's 13th-ranked defense at 102.3 points allowed per 100 possessions, but the team has ranked in the top-five on the defensive end in each of the past two seasons and in the top-10 in the last three.
Injuries have certainly played a part in derailing their D this year, however.
