Warriors' Draymond Green to sit out Tuesday vs. Clippers
After all that, Draymond Green won't even suit up for the Golden State Warriors for their showdown with the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday.
No chance to back up the trash talk, or avenge that post-game bump from Dahntay Jones, or jaw with opposing head coach Glenn Rivers.
Green will ostensibly sit out with a minor shin injury, though he himself is calling it Blake-itis. That certainly sounds more trash talk, but who knows what it really means.
Of course, Green's absence will also have actual, basketball-related drawbacks, leaving the Warriors short their most logical Blake Griffin stopper and robbing them of their small-ball center.
Head coach Steve Kerr said if the game meant anything (other than bragging rights in one of the NBA's most fun rivalries) Green would play, but with the Warriors already locked into the Western Conference's No. 1 seed, he saw no need to force the issue.
David Lee will draw the start in Green's place.
