The Denver Nuggets selected Serbian point guard Nikola Radicevic with the No. 57 overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft on Thursday night.
It's not easy to find 6-foot-5 point guards, and the search for Radicevic was likely influenced by scouts flocking to check out teammate Kristaps Porzingis, as the two both played for Seville of the ACB. The 21-year-old Radicevic made the most of those opportunities. He averaged 7.2 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 3.2 assists, flashing enough potential as a playmaker to warrant a draft-and-stash flier.
Radicevic was expected to withdraw from the draft, but several other players doing so made the path to selection easier for a fringe prospect. If he can improve his shooting - he knocked down 31.2 percent of his triples this year - he'll warrant closer examination in a future offseason.
