Report: Pacers' Copeland out of hospital
Indiana Pacers forward Chris Copeland has been released from a New York City hospital two days after being stabbed, according to a report by ESPN.
In an additional report, ESPN's Chris Broussard said that Copeland fractured his elbow in addition to suffering the stab wound to his midsection that landed him in the intensive care unit following a violent incident early Wednesday outside of Manhattan nightclub 1 OAK.
Pacers coach Frank Vogel told media Friday that Copeland was scheduled to fly home to Indianapolis on Sunday. The Pacers were in action Friday, beating the Pistons in Detroit.
The National Basketball Players' Association is also looking into the other part of the incident, where Atlanta Hawks guard Thabo Sefolosha sustained a season-ending injury while being arrested outside the nightclub.
At the time of incident, the Hawks were in New York to play the Brooklyn Nets while the Pacers had a game against the Knicks.
