Tyreke Evans to undergo MRI on knee: 'I never felt nothing like that before'

Bad news for New Orleans Pelicans fans.
Swingman Tyreke Evans did not return after sustaining a left knee contusion against the Golden State Warriors on Saturday.
The point guard said he "felt a little pop" in his left knee when he was tangled up with Andre Iguodala, and will undergo an MRI later Saturday.
"I never felt nothing like that before," Evans added.
Evans was instrumental to the Pelicans' late-season playoff push as a fill-in point guard. Evans averaged 17.3 points, 4.8 rebounds and 7.5 assists in 32 mintues per game over the Pelicans' last 12 games to lead New Orleans into the postseason.
With Evans out, the Pelicans had to rely on Norris Cole, Jrue Holiday (who is still recovering from a leg injury) and Eric Gordon to handle the ball.
"I'm not sure about Tyreke just yet," head coach Monty Williams said after Game 1. "We've dealt with this all year. We'll see where he is tomorrow and then make adjustments."
