Blake Griffin posts triple-double as Clippers come up short in OT

Blake Griffin had the game of the early playoffs Wednesday night. 

The Los Angeles Clippers' big man went off against the San Antonio Spurs in Game 2, putting together as complete a game as you can expect from a power forward. Unfortunately for Griffin, it was all for not, as the Spurs won 111-107 in overtime - in what was an incredibly exciting game - to even up the series at 1-1. 

Griffin had 29 points on 12-of-25 shooting, adding 12 rebounds, 11 assists, one steal and a block. It's Griffin's first career postseason triple-double, and the first triple-double by a Clipper in the playoffs since 1976. His 11 assists tied his season high. 

Danny Green had an idea of how well Griffin was playing, and in overtime wisely decided to get out of his way:

Griffin won't be celebrating his efforts Wednesday, though, as he turned the ball over a game-high five times. One of those turnovers was especially costly, with 10 seconds to play in the fourth quarter, leading to two game-tying free throws by Patty Mills - who was incredible after Tony Parker was lost to an Achilles injury - to send the game to an extra session. 

Griffin played a season-high 47 minutes, which likely played a part in his giving the ball up late.
