Wizards' Bradley Beal, John Wall say they will play in Game 2 vs. Hawks
Washington Wizards fans received some good news today straight from the horse's - er - players' mouths.
Despite both players sustaining injuries in Washington's 104-98 victory over the Atlanta Hawks, point guard John Wall and shooting guard Bradley Beal say that they will be available to help rack up another win the Eastern Conference semifinals during Game 2 on Tuesday, according to Washington Posts' Jorge Castillo.
Wall was sporting a black bandage around his wrist after he injured his left wrist in the second quarter of Game 1 when he fell hard on it (and almost on the Hawks' Jeff Teague) during a drive to the basket.
The point guard said that he is "definitely going to play" despite his left hand and thumb being very swollen.
Beal left Game 1 after spraining his right ankle in the fourth quarter by landing on Al Horford's leg, but returned to the game after a brief visit to the locker room.
Walking with a noticeable limp, the shooting guard said that the swelling to his ankle is not as bad as he thought, and that he will play in Game 2.
