Grizzlies' Tony Allen questionable for Game 5 with sore hamstring
The Memphis Grizzlies might be without the Grindfather for Game 5 against the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday.
Allen has a sore hamstring and is questionable for Game 5, reports Peter Fleischer of FOX13 Memphis. Allen was limited to just under 16 minutes of play in Game 4, although that could be tied to the Warriors' defensive adjustment.
Allen has been instrumental in keeping Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson under wraps. The two-time recipient of first-team All-Defense honors took center stage in Games 2 and 3 to help the Grizzlies to a pair of characteristically gritty victories.
However, the Warriors responded by tasking Andrew Bogut to cover Allen on defense, which gave Bogut free reign to double opposing bigs in the paint. That muddled the offense for Memphis as the Grizzlies posted a putrid offensive rating of 70.7 with Allen on the floor.
