Jusuf Nurkic: To Undergo Knee Surgery
Nurkic (knee) is scheduled to undergo surgery Wednesday to repair a slight tear of his patella tendon, the Denver Post reports. He's expected to be sidelined 3-to-4 months.
Analysis:
Nurkic played through the tendon injury for much of the second half of the season, but his minutes, and effectiveness, waned down the stretch while also nursing a sprained ankle. The Second Team All-Rookie performer is expected to miss at least a few months, putting him on schedule to return to basketball activities in late-August/early-September. With training camp set to open in late-September, Nurkic hopes to be close to full health at that time.
