VIDEO: Riley Curry celebrates with dad's hand gestures, crashes press conference
Stephen Curry can keep his NBA Most Valuable Player Award. His daughter Riley is the playoff MVP so far.
After dad and the Golden State Warriors wrapped up the Western Conference Finals with a Game 5 victory over the Houston Rockets on Wednesday, Riley joined Steph on the court to celebrate. To call what ensued adorable would be like calling Steph's jumper good - it would be a gross understatement.
First thing's first, Steph had to get his hug with Riley and wife Ayesha in, putting his Western Conference championship hat on Riley's head.
That's when thing really picked up, with Riley stunting like her daddy. The fact that the 2-year-old was able to mimic her father's 3-point celebration is cute enough to melt even the coldest of black hearts.
Riley previously stole the show after Game 1 of the series, when she joined Steph at the post-game press conference and hilarity ensued. That happened again Wednesday, with Riley making quite the entrance:
Likely because it was way past her bedtime, Riley spent Steph's media availability talking, asking Steph to be quiet, reaching for the microphone, and making herself at home.
"She's taking advantage of the moment, for sure," Steph said. "She's way too comfortable."
"Be quiet," Riley responded, before wandering back to a Warriors staff member.
Unbelievably, that upset some in sports media. If that happens this time, here's hoping Riley's Curse is the next BasedGod's Curse.
