DAVIE, Fla. - Basketball star Dwyane Wade made a surprise appearance at a South Florida high school's graduation, thanks to some persistent work on social media by one of the graduates.
Wade took a selfie with Western High School senior Negeen Fallahzedeh during the ceremony and posted it to Instagram on Thursday night.
Fallahzedeh first invited Wade to the graduation last summer using the hashtag #WadetoWestern. The Miami Heat player hugged the teen on stage during the ceremony at Nova Southeastern University in Davie.
Wade wrote on Instagram that ''dreams do come true.''
The appearance set off a flurry of social media posts from Western graduates.
