David West is reportedly interested in joining Carmelo Anthony in New York City.
West, who declined his 2015-16 player option with the Indiana Pacers, is "very likely" to sign with the New York Knicks, reports Jared Zwerling of Bleacher Report.
The 34-year-old West remains a lethal pick-and-pop option despite increasing age and declining workload. He averaged 11.7 points, 6.8 rebounds and 3.4 assists in 38.7 minutes with the Pacers last season.
Not to be discounted, but West brings a modicum of veteran leadership to New York. West carries a tremendous reputation for being a strong locker room presence.
Given that West declined a $12 million player option, the price for West's services should at least top eight figures per year.
