Blazers trade Hollis-Jefferson and Blake to Nets for Plumlee, Connaughton
The Portland Trail Blazers have dealt Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, the 23rd pick in Thursday's draft, and veteran guard Steve Blake to the Brooklyn Nets for Mason Plumlee and second-round pick Pat Connaughton, Nets GM Billy King confirmed Thursday night.
Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski was first to report that the Nets called Portland with interest in Hollis-Jefferson immediately after the selection. The Blazers were reportedly high on the Arizona product, but evidently prefer Plumlee, who had been on the block all of last season.
Plumlee provides frontline help for the Blazers in the event LaMarcus Aldridge and Robin Lopez depart via free agency.
Thanks to Brooklyn for a great two years !
