Green says he'll re-sign with Warriors, deal worth a reported $82 million over 5 years

The Golden State Warriors have agreed to terms with restricted free-agent forward Draymond Green on a 5-year pact.

The deal was first reported by Yahoo Sports' Marc J. Spears, who had the terms at $85 million. Grantland's Zach Lowe later reported that the deal was worth $82 million, adding that it is fully guaranteed with no options for either side.

"I'm ecstatic," Green said in a video for Bleacher Report Wednesday night. "I'm proud to say I'll be a Warrior for at least the next five years."

He later posted an Instagram photo of his FaceTime conversation with his mother, notifying her of the deal.

Some Dubs fans may have had some anxious moments earlier Wednesday, when reports surfaced that talks between the breakout star and the world champs had been broken off so Green could listen to offers from other teams.

Of course, the Michigan State product's restricted status meant it was highly unlikely he was going anywhere. The Warriors would have matched any offer, and locking him up for about $17 million per season over the next five years was the agreed cost of doing business.

Green lost out on this past season's Most Improved Player award to Jimmy Butler of the Chicago Bulls, and the Defensive Player of the Year award to Kawhi Leonard of the San Antonio Spurs, but his blossoming was a major factor in the Warriors' first NBA title since 1975.
