Former NBA player Al Harrington tweets his willingness to play for Knicks
A slew of high-profile free agents aren't jumping at the opportunity to play under the bright lights of Madison Square Garden.
It's difficult to get excited about playing for a team that finished 2014-15 with the worst record in the Eastern Conference at 17-65. Marc Gasol, who the Knicks were interested in signing, steered away from The Big Apple and is expected to sign a five-year deal to remain with the Memphis Grizzlies.
One player who wouldn't shy away from being a Knick is former NBA combo forward Al Harrington, who played two seasons with the franchise from 2008 to 2010.
Harrington recently took to social media to let the world know that he's down for one more run as a Knickerbocker, if Phil Jackson is willing to give him a call.

Harrington, who turned 35 years old back in February, played the best basketball of his 16-year career with New York, averaging 19.2 points and 5.9 rebounds in 140 appearances.
He last played in the league during the 2013-14 regular season for 34 games as a member of the Washington Wizards before heading off to play ball in China.
He's not the same caliber of player as Gasol, LaMarcus Aldridge (who cancelled his meeting with the team) or Greg Monroe are, but at least he's willing to suit up and don the orange and blue.
New York recently agreed to a two-year, $16 million deal with shooting guard Arron Afflalo, so it appears that Harrington isn't the only soul trying to be a Knick.
