Diez signed a two-year contract with Unicaja Malaga of the ACB on Wednesday, euroleague.net reports.

Analysis:

Selected by the Jazz in last month's NBA Draft, Diez's rights were dealt to the Blazers on draft night. However, his contract includes an option to extend the deal through the 2017-18 season, meaning he'll seemingly remain in Europe for the foreseeable future. In his recently completed campaign with Gipuzkoa Basket, he averaged 12.1 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 1.0 steal in 30 minutes. While he pulled down the fourth-most boards in ACB play, the 6-foot-8, 216-pound forward also showed off a reliable outside shot for the first time, hitting 1.9 per game at a 41-percent clip.
