The Denver Nuggets have signed second-round draft pick Nikola Jokic, according to Marc Stein of ESPN.
Jokic, the 41st selection in this summer's draft, will reportedly earn $5.5 million over the next four seasons.
Previous reports suggested Jokic would strike a three-year pact.
The 6-foot-11 center profiles as a bruising post presence. The 20-year-old hails from Serbia and averaged 16.5 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game in the Adriatic and Serbian League last season. He is a skilled finisher around the basket and boasts a smooth shooting stroke.
Nabbing Jokic for four seasons secures his full Bird Rights, which could come in handy in future negotiation talks. If not, Jokic still represents a low-cost gamble for the Nuggets.
Jokic will likely struggle to find minutes in Denver's crowded frontcourt. He will compete for time along with fellow prospects Jusuf Nurkic and Joffrey Lauvergne at center.
