The Sacramento Kings voided the newly signed contract of Luc Mbah a Moute after the forward failed his physical, the team announced Thursday.
The Kings made Mbah a Moute's signing official on Tuesday, and although terms were not released, Mbah a Moute reportedly signed a one-year deal.
A healthy Mbah a Moute would have given the Kings a decent wing defender to come off the bench. The 28-year-old isn't much of a shooter (he shot 30.7 percent from deep last season) but he can defend multiple positions on the perimeter.
Mbah a Moute spent last season with the Philadelphia 76ers where he averaged 9.9 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 28.6 minutes per game. He earned $4.4 million as part of a four-year, $19-million contract.
