VIDEO: Barkley says NBA Finals was 'Trainwreck 1'
Chuck is talking smack about jump-shooting teams again.
Specifically, Charles Barkley had some things to say about the NBA champion Golden State Warriors to CSN's Jim Kozimor.
"I've said the same thing for 16 years, I don't like jump-shooting teams," Barkley said.
When asked about the small-ball revolution currently taking place in the NBA (and capitalized on in the form of a Larry O'Brien Trophy for the Warriors), Barkley added that a healthy Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving would have turned the NBA Finals in the Cleveland Cavaliers' favor.
That's a valid opinion, but one which Barkley quickly negated by suggesting the Warriors didn't face stiff enough competition in the postseason.
"If you go back and look about how things worked out in the playoffs, they didn't play against dominant big men," the NBA legend said, ignoring the Warriors' postseason opponents who featured, in order: Anthony Davis, Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph, and Dwight Howard.
Don't ever change, Chuck.
Stubborn antiquated basketball musings aside, Barkley is always good for a laugh. When asked about LeBron James' new movie, "Trainwreck," Barkley couldn't resist.
"LeBron should call this 'Trainwreck 2' because the finals was 'Trainwreck 1.'"
