The Philadelphia 76ers have signed guard Scottie Wilbekin, the team announced Friday.
Wilbekin went undrafted in 2014 after playing four seasons for Florida. As a senior, Wilbekin averaged 13.1 points and 3.6 assists in 33.8 minutes per game and led the Gators to the Final Four. For his efforts, Wilbekin was named SEC Player of the Year in 2014.
Without an NBA gig, Wilbekin played overseas last season. He split time between the Cairns Taipans in the National Basketball League in Australia, and AEK Athens in the Greek Basket League.
Wilbekin played for the 76ers during 2015 Las Vegas Summer League. He averaged 14.4 points and 1.6 steals in 27.1 minutes per game while shooting 43.6 percent from the field.
