The Indiana Pacers confirmed the signings of Glenn Robinson III and Rakeem Christmas, as well as new contracts for Shayne Whittington and Lavoy Allen, on Monday.
Robinson III agreed to a reported three-year deal, with Christmas signing a reported four-year contract worth $4.5 million after being acquired in a trade with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
"Glenn comes to us with a set of skills we think will blend in with our team," said Bird in the team's official release. "We expect him to be very good on the defensive end and he can score the ball. We look forward to seeing him improve throughout the year."
The financial terms of Whittington's deal are not yet known, although his one-year contract will be guaranteed. Allen, who averaged 2.9 points and 2.4 rebounds last season, will be owed $12 million over the next three seasons.
Allen's third year is a team option at $4 million, according to Basketball Insiders' Eric Pincus.
"Shayne has been with us for more than a year and shown us a lot of good things," Bird adds. "He has grown as a player, has improved and we expect him to continue to do so to be a part of what we do. He’s a hard worker with a variety of skills for a big man."
