LeBron on playing 1-on-1 against prime MJ: 'I take myself'

LeBron James is the best player in the world and when it's all said and done, he will have a strong case for finishing in the top 10, or even the top five, in the pantheon of NBA greatness.

So, naturally, the four-time league MVP is taking himself over the consensus greatest player of all time in Michael Jordan in a hypothetical game of one-on-one.

"I take myself," James told TODAY's Willie Geist on Friday. "I'm gonna take myself versus anybody."

He jokingly added, "I'll tell you one thing: they're gonna have to have a few wheelchairs and a couple ambulances there to get us off the floor."

For the record, Jordan picked himself over James in an appearance at a basketball camp last weekend.

It's a tireless debate for fans and players alike, and ultimately, there's no way to settle the argument. Jordan was a better shooter than James, but James is much stronger and could leverage his weight into easy buckets in the paint.
