Report: Hawks to sign veteran Jason Richardson to non-guaranteed deal
Veteran shooting guard Jason Richardson is set to sign a non-guaranteed contract with the Atlanta Hawks on Monday, Yahoo Sports' Marc Spears reports.
Richardson, 34, a 13-year veteran, played 19 games for the Philadelphia 76ers last season, averaging 9.1 points and 3.5 rebounds while shooting 34.8 percent from the field.
The two-time Slam Dunk contest winner missed the entire 2013-14 campaign after undergoing knee surgery.
Richardson has also played for the Golden State Warriors, Charlotte Bobcats (now Hornets), Phoenix Suns, and Orlando Magic in 857 career outings.
He's a career 37 percent 3-point shooter, although his numbers in that department have steadily declined since 2010-11. Richardson has averaged 17.1 points and five rebounds since going fifth overall to the Warriors in 2001.
