Macklemore says Michael Jordan hated on his Jordan 6 colorways

Michael Jordan thinks a certain rapper should mackle a little less.

A noted sneakerhead, Macklemore recently shared a story with Complex about the time he met the NBA legend, and the Jordan brand namesake wasn't a fan of Macklemore's choice in colorway.

"I have two pairs," Macklemore said of the Jordan 6s in question. "I got the greens and the clays. And then he was like, 'I don't like green. He was like, 'F--- green. It reminds me of some Christmas shit. Like, no one's trying to wear some Christmas shoes.'"

Macklemore claims he went ahead with the colorway - which was still in the design phase - nonetheless. For as much as disagreeing with Michael freaking Jordan might not be the best move for an enterprising shoe designer, Macklemore's collection and obvious love for the subject give him a pass in this case, even if the green colorway is unsightly.
