PHOTO: LeBron donates uniforms to Akron high school football team
Home-state Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James is nothing if not an incredibly charitable person.
James announced last week that his I PROMISE foundation would begin providing full scholarships to the University of Akron for high school students who complete the foundation's educational program, Wheels for Education.
Now, James is giving back to high school students in the Akron area, regardless of post-secondary educational goals. James posted a photo of new Nike uniforms for the Kenmore Cardinals on Tuesday, uniforms that he donated to the Akron public school.

The gift has been well received, with players and alumni taking to Twitter to thank James:

"This is amazing," Kenmore senior Dorell Daniels-Vaught told Joe Vardon of the Akron Beacon Journal. "It is a blessing to get something, especially with where we go to school. We really don't have too many opportunities for a lot of things to happen to us."

James didn't attend Kenmore, instead opting for St. Vincent-St. Mary's prep. It's a testament to his community commitment that his charity extends beyond his alma mater, though it's not surprising given his track record in giving back.
