Former NBAer Andrei Kirilenko receives model AK-47 in Russia
An AK-47 for AK-47? Why wasn't this done sooner?
Former NBA forward Andrei Kirilenko - who used the nickname "AK-47" because of his initials and jersey number - called it a career on June 23 after 13 seasons in the league, 10 of which came as a member of the Utah Jazz. During a recent visit to his hometown of Izhevsk, Russia, the onetime All-Star was honored with model version of an AK-47 assault rifle.

Very fitting.
It's only a matter of time until we see Kevin Durant gifted a tarantula, Steven Adams a kiwi, and Shawn Marion a personalized autograph from Keanu Reeves.
