Longtime sideline reporter Stephanie Ready has been promoted to the Charlotte Hornets' broadcast booth for this coming season.
While ESPN's Doris Burke has served as a color analyst on national telecasts for several years, and Nancy Lieberman worked as a studio commentator for the Oklahoma City Thunder, Ready's move makes her the first woman to serve as a full-time analyst on a NBA team's broadcast table.
Ready joins play-by-play announcer Eric Collins and color commentator Dell Curry to form a three-person booth on FOX Sports Southeast.
Ready is no stranger to being a pioneer. A former standout college player, she became the first woman to coach in men's professional sports as the D-League's first female assistant coach in 2001.
