Analysis:
Davis spent eight weeks this offseason working with the Pelicans' strength and conditioning coach in Los Angeles and Anguilla. He's hired a personal chef and has changed most of his diet to help bulk up. These kind of updates are generally perfunctory, but given that the only knock against Davis is always that he's thin and can't bang with centers, this news continues to paint a picture that Davis may be growing into a more stacked body that will eventually allow him to spend even more time at center when some of the bigger centers in the league are in their opponents' lineups.
