Michael Jordan's jersey from 'Space Jam' up for auction
Game-worn jerseys are good business in the memorabilia world. It turns out that holds true even if the jersey in question was worn in a fictional game.
The uniform Michael Jordan wore in the 1996 film "Space Jam" is up for auction at invaluable, with the opening bid set at $10,000. From invaluable:
1715. Michael Jordan uniform from Space Jam. (Warner Bros., 1996) Screen worn complete basketball uniform including (1) XL AIS brand mesh, red, white and blue-trimmed sports jersey with "Tunesquad" logo on the front and signature number "23" emblazoned on the back and (1) matching pair of size 38 shorts. Worn in the climactic showdown between Michael Jordan's "Tunesquad" and the "Monstars." With signs of wear and minor staining. In production used fine condition.
$10,000 - $15,000
For those who somehow forget the iconic TuneSquad kit - last worn notably by Zach LaVine at the Slam Dunk Contest - here's a look:

The auction is open until Oct. 1 and sets the stage for a 2035 auction of LeBron James' movie-worn Space Jam 2 jersey. You know, if that ends up happening.
