VIDEO: Giannis Antetokounmpo dunks all over Macedonia at Eurobasket 2015

Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

Giannis Antetokoumpo is hoping to put Greek basketball back on the map with a strong showing at this summer's Eurobasket tournament.

Greece enjoyed a strong run of dominance atop Europe with two championships, one silver, one bronze and four fourth-placed finishes in Eurobasket between 1987 and 2009.

Their last two appearances, however, have been rather disappointing. They finished sixth in 2011 and quietly bowed out in 11th place in 2013.

To that end, Antetokoumpo loudly announced his team's return by throwing down a vicious two-handed dunk against Macedonia off a feed from Memphis Grizzlies guard Nick Calathes.

Giannis CLEARED FOR TAKEOFF

In addition to Antetokoumpo and Calathes, the reloaded Greek squad also features Sacramento Kings center Kosta Koufos and Denver Nuggets forward Kostas Papanikolaou.
