Analysis:
Porzingis has only been involved in the program for five weeks, yet he's already put on the expected weight with more than three weeks remaining before the start of training camp, which commences on Oct. 1. In addition to boosting his weight from its listing on draft night (232 pounds), he's been refining his game, as he'll be required to work in the post in order to determine his eventual position, power forward or center, in the NBA. No matter where he ends up, the 7-foot-3 Latvian boasts a surprising perimeter game for his size, but it didn't come through at the Las Vegas Summer League, where he averaged 10.5 points (on 48 percent shooting), 3.2 rebounds, 1.8 blocks, 1.0 steal, and 1.0 assist in 21 minutes, while knocking down 1-for-5 from three-point range.
