Nets' Thomas Robinson working out after July knee surgery
Days after NBA journeyman Thomas Robinson signed with the Brooklyn Nets, he suffered a meniscus tear in his right knee, casting a shadow over his vow that his Nets tenure would yield different results than his previous NBA stops.
The 24-year-old Robinson signed a two-year deal with the Nets, his fifth team in three years.
Eight weeks after knee surgery - something the 6-foot-9 power forward assured fans was a "minor setback" - Robinson posted an image of him working out at the Nets' practice facility.
It seems the Kansas alumnus has been working hard to return in time for the Nets' training camp which commences in late September.
Robinson averaged 17.7 points and 11.9 rebounds for the Jayhawks before being selected fifth overall by Sacramento Kings in 2012.
Playing for the Kings, Houston Rockets, Portland Trail Blazers, and Philadelphia 76ers, Robinson has averaged 5.1 points and 4.8 rebounds in 14.1 minutes.
