The Memphis Grizzlies have filled out their training camp roster with an NBA throwback.

Yakhouba Diawara has agreed to a non-guaranteed camp deal with the Grizzlies, according to a report from Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports. Diawara brings the team's camp roster to 20 after Thursday's news that the team had scrapped an invite for Patrick Christopher, replacing him instead with Air Force veteran Dan Nwaelele.

The Grizzlies were one of three teams to enter 2014-15 with an open roster spot, so it's not a certainty that one of the six players in camp on non-guaranteed deals will land the 15th spot on the roster. If he does, it would be quite the comeback for the 33-year-old Diawara, who has been out of the NBA since 2009-10.

Undrafted out of Pepperdine, Diawara caught on with the Denver Nuggets in 2006-07 and appeared in 187 games over four seasons, the latter two with the Miami Heat. He averaged 3.5 points and 1.4 rebounds in 14 minutes, shooting 35.7 percent from the field and 30.1 percent from long range.

In the time since, the French wing has played in Italy and France, most recently averaging 13.2 points and 4.2 rebounds in the French league but shooting 35.9 percent in the process.
