James Harden wearing Nikes until start of Adidas deal
"The Beard" loves his Nikes, and so the folks at Adidas will just have to wait.
At the Houston Rockets' media day on Monday, James Harden once again sported Nike footwear.
Harden - who signed a 13-year $200-million deal with Adidas in August - has been spotted wearing Nike and Jordan brand, a Nike subsidiary, shoes on various occasions since agreeing to his new pact with the German apparel company.
The 26-year-old superstar's Adidas deal, which will prevent him from wearing Nikes in public, doesn't officially commence until Oct. 1.
Harden explained why he was still rocking non-Adidas kicks on Monday:
Harden in Nikes today. "I’m still under contract with NIke. I’m waiting for that day, I can start representing (Adidas)."

With October just days away, Harden better get as much mileage out of his Nikes as possible.
As of Thursday, it'll be 13 years of nothing but Adidas.
