John Wall donates $400,000 to D.C. center for homeless children
John Wall is giving back in a big way.
The Washington Wizards point guard made a surprise $400,000 donation to Bright Beginnings, a D.C. organization that provides services for homeless children.
The center, which serves roughly 162 children per day according to the Washington City Paper, will feature the "John Wall, Wall of Achievement" that will highlight achievements of the center's students.
"Support from individuals like Mr. Wall, gives Bright Beginnings the encouragement to continue to provide comprehensive services for homeless children in the District of Columbia. It is evident that John Wall is sensitive and concerned about the plight of homeless children in DC and he wants these children to succeed," said Bright Beginnings Executive Director, Dr. Betty Jo Gaines, in a statement on the center's Facebook page.
Wall's donation will help to open a second facility to serve 100 more children.
