Stephon Marbury goes on Twitter rant aimed at Jordan: 'Kids dying for shoes'
Stephon Marbury is renewing both his affordable "Starbury" shoes and his rivalry with sneaker king Michael Jordan.
Marbury's shoes were sold for $15 per pair from the day they debuted in 2006, through to 2009 when the company that sold them went out of business - a stark contrast to the far-more-expensive Jordans.
Now that the Chinese Basketball Association star plans to bring back his Starburys, Marbury went on a Twitter rant, where he called Jordan "greedy" and commented on "kids dying for shoes" due to the effect Jordan's expensive sneakers have on the youth:
Jordan has been robbing the hood since. Kids dying for shoes and the only face this dude makes is I don't care. The time will change!

Real people know. I'm off the kids getting killed for Jordan's. I hate that this dude won't change that. Greedy! https://t.co/tcpL2whXVE

Yeah I know. People are so caught up in the greatness of his play that they lost their way. https://t.co/701YL3TfRC

I hate when kids cry because they can't get this dude shoes because they can't afford to buy them. It's hard on moms https://t.co/xG1Fqdp5fL

It's not about the shoes it's about the thought.
