Report: Cavaliers to sign Dionte Christmas to make-good contract
The Cleveland Cavaliers will sign shooting guard Dionte Christmas to a make-good contract, according to Yahoo Sports' Marc Spears.
The 29-year-old Christmas will attend training camp without the assurance of a roster spot. He went undrafted in 2009, enjoying short stints with the Philadelphia 76ers and Los Angeles Clippers' summer league squads before heading to Israel to compete for Hapoel Afula.
He spent the next several years in Europe, suiting up for the likes of CSKA Moscow (Russia), Rethymno Aegean (Greece), and CEZ Nymburk (Czech Republic).
It wasn't until the 2013-14 season when he finally hit the hardwood for an NBA squad, playing 31 games as a member of the Phoenix Suns and averaging 2.3 points and 1.2 rebounds in 6.4 minutes per game
