NBA coaches to honor Flip Saunders with lapel pin
A number of NBA superstars, executives, and media members have already paid tribute to Flip Saunders with touching social media posts. Now the league's coaches will honor Saunders in their own way.

"Flip's innovativeness, competitive integrity and coaching longevity make him one of the most respected coaches in NBA history," Carlisle said in a statement from the NBA Coaches Association on Monday. "Our heartfelt condolences go out to the entire Saunders family. The NBA coaching profession has lost a great man."
Saunders passed away Sunday at the age of 60 after a battle with Hodgkin's lymphoma.
Saunders spent parts of 17 seasons as an NBA head coach, 11 of which were with the Timberwolves in Minnesota where he also served as the team's president of basketball operations since 2013.
The Cleveland native, who also coached the Detroit Pistons and Washington Wizards, compiled a career record of 654-594, leading his teams to the postseason 11 times and as far as the conference finals on four occasions.
