Way before Draymond Green whipped Warriors fans into a frenzy with an impassioned defensive stand or pivotal 3-pointer, it was Jason Richardson who brought the spark to Oakland while wearing No. 23.

Richardson broke into the league at the age of 21 after being selected with the fifth overall pick by the Warriors in 2001. He played in the Bay Area for six years, averaging 18.3 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 3.2 assists, and produced a number of notable moments.

He won two Slam Dunk championships with the Warriors and was a key piece of the "We Believe" Warriors that knocked off the 67-win Dallas Mavericks in 2007. Those memories were the highlights of a mostly dysfunctional decade of Warriors basketball in the early 2000s.

Now that Richardson's retired, the Warriors will pay homage to the former high-flyer Nov. 24 by wearing their throwback uniforms.
