Jefferson is expected to enter the starting lineup Wednesday against the Knicks in place of J.R. Smith (knee), Joe Vardon of Cleveland.com reports.
Analysis:
Jefferson was wearing a wine-colored jersey at the Cavs' morning shootaround, an outfit that usually designates the team's starters on a given night. While Jefferson may be in line to replace Smith as the starter in name, Matthew Dellavedova is the likeliest candidate to see increased minutes in Smith's absence. That said, Jefferson could also still benefit from a small increase in playing time from the 20.3 minutes he's averaged over the first four games.
