VIDEO: Bradley Beal sinks Spurs with last-second triple

Bradley Beal wanted a max extension from the Washington Wizards this offseason. For various reasons, they wouldn't give him one.

If he keeps this up, the Wizards won't have any choice but to max him out when he becomes a restricted free agent in July.

Coming into Wednesday night's game, Beal was averaging 25.3 points and shooting 50 percent from 3-point range. Against the San Antonio Spurs, in the Wizards' biggest test of the young season, he dropped 25 on 11-of-22 shooting - including nine in the fourth quarter, when the Wizards erased a seven-point deficit.

Most importantly, with the game knotted at 99 and regulation about to expire, Beal took a pass on the right wing from John Wall, shook LaMarcus Aldridge out of his shoes, and calmly drained the game-winning three.

Beal has effectively been Wall's sidekick ever since being drafted in 2012. So it was telling that, with the game on the line and seven seconds to play, the Wizards came out of a timeout and gave the ball to No. 3.
