Clippers' Paul sat out final play vs. Warriors due to mild groin injury

A groin injury kept Los Angeles Clippers point guard Chris Paul off the floor late against the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday night.

Clippers head coach Doc Rivers said the injury wasn't serious, but that it was too early in the season to risk Paul's health, according to USA Today Sports' Sam Amick.

Paul exited the game with 13 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter, the Warriors up by four points, replaced by Wesley Johnson. A Jamal Crawford 3-pointer was blocked by Klay Thompson, and the Warriors won 112-108

Paul led Los Angeles with 24 points on 9-of-15 shooting. He added nine assists, three rebounds, and three steals.

The Clippers' loss was their first of the season, and they sit at 4-1. The Warriors remain undefeated at 5-0.
