Celtics' Crowder forced from game vs. Wizards with bone bruise in left knee
Boston Celtics small forward Jae Crowder left Friday's game against the Washington Wizards late in the fourth quarter with a bone bruise in his left knee, and did not return.
No MRI will be required, according to the Boston Globe's Gary Washburn.
The 25-year-old was helped to the locker room by teammate Jared Sullinger after he collided with Washington's Jared Dudley on a drive.
Following the game, Crowder told reporters that he'll be sore on Saturday, but should be able to play on Tuesday when the Celtics visit the Milwaukee Bucks.
"I'll be fine," Crowder said.
Crowder finished the night with a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds in Boston's 118-98 victory over the visiting Wizards. He's averaged 10 points and five rebounds on 40.7 percent shooting through the first four games of the season for the now 2-3 Celtics.
