VIDEO: Faried turns Gallinari air ball into game-winning alley-oop
Danilo Gallinari may not get credited with an assist on this play, but he'd tell you it was an intended pass.
With his Denver Nuggets trailing the Milwaukee Bucks by a point with under 10 seconds in regulation, Gallinari got the ball on an isolation on the right wing. Bucks swingman Khris Middleton did an outstanding job pinning him up against the sideline and ultimately forced an extremely difficult turnaround fadeaway that caught nothing but air.
Fortunately for Gallinari, teammate Kenneth Faried was in the right place at the right time.
It proved to be the game-winner, as Middleton's jumper at the buzzer rimmed out.
"We were practicing that," Gallinari said of the play, after the Nuggets escaped with the 103-102 victory.
What do they call it?
"Kenneth Faried wins the game."
