Rajon Rondo records 2nd triple-double in 3 games
Rajon Rondo is finding his stride with the Sacramento Kings, and it just might have taken some of the heat off head coach George Karl.
Rondo scored 14 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, and 15 assists for his second triple-double in three games, while leading the Kings to a 101-92 victory against the Detroit Pistons.
The crafty lead guard has largely struggled since suffering an ACL tear in 2013, but Rondo looked like the All-Star of old Wednesday.
He even pulled out his trusty behind-the-back pass fake in the second quarter for good measure.
Rondo's effort was helped along by DeMarcus Cousins, who put up a game-high 31 points along with four triples in the victory.
The Kings managed to stay resolute through some hairy moments in the fourth quarter for the second win of the year. Moreover, it was an encouraging response to the Kings' much-publicized team meeting - much of which focused on Karl's tenuous relationship with Cousins.
